Middle Grade Books

These books are about all kinds of kids. What they share is that their lives are touched by foster care or adoption. Look for them in your school or public library or ask an adult to order them through the National Adoption Center bookstore.

The book A Single Shard, by Linda Sue Park, is about a Korean orphan in the 12th century. It won the Newbery Medal in 2002, the highest honor a children's book can achieve. The author's parents were born in Korea.
